This notice governs access to and use of helixcore.biotecno.org, in compliance with Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE).

BIOTECNO Research Group is a trading name without separate legal personality. The owner and controller of the site is the natural person who operates it:

Purpose of the site

This site is an informational layer: it describes the modules of the HelixCore platform, their methods and their limits. It is not the platform. It does not allow you to upload samples, run analyses or obtain results: access to the working environment is requested and granted separately.

Nature of the published information

The technical content — cited algorithms, validation figures, thresholds and bibliographic references — is published for information purposes and describes how the software behaves under the conditions stated on each module sheet.

• It does not constitute scientific, medical, veterinary, agronomic or regulatory advice.
• It does not replace laboratory testing: an in silico result is a prioritised hypothesis, not a measurement.
• It is not diagnosis. The platform does not diagnose disease in humans and issues no clinical opinions.
• The dossiers and files the platform generates are supporting documentation, not declarations or authorisations before any authority.

Each module sheet states its own limits in its technical specifications. Those limits form part of the published information and prevail over any summary.

Terms of use

Access to the site is free of charge. Users undertake not to use it for unlawful purposes, not to attempt to access restricted areas, and not to carry out actions liable to damage, overload or impede normal operation of the service, including abusive automated crawling and mass form submission.

Intellectual and industrial property

The texts, structure, design, module names and graphic elements of the site belong to the controller unless expressly stated otherwise. Quotation and linking with attribution are permitted. Full reproduction and commercial exploitation are not authorised without prior written permission.

The names of third-party programs, databases and tools cited (jellyfish, minimap2, Snippy, CD-HIT, Prodigal, Primer3, Bowtie2, ClinVar, HPO, rrnDB, RASFF and others) belong to their respective owners and are mentioned solely to describe and make the method traceable. Their mention implies no endorsement, affiliation or connection whatsoever.

Third-party links

The site links to scientific publications via DOI and to public repositories and databases. The controller does not control those destinations and is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy policies.

Liability

The controller works to keep the published information accurate and current but does not guarantee the absence of errors or uninterrupted availability of the site. No liability is accepted for damage arising from use or inability to use the site, or for decisions taken solely on the basis of the information published here.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

This notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute shall fall to the courts of Vitoria-Gasteiz (Álava), unless applicable consumer legislation provides otherwise.

Amendments

The controller may amend this notice where a legal or service change requires it. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date.
